No major surprises here in the World Economic Forum report published in Sept 2018. Technology 'Jobs & Skills' on the rise with greater automation in the workplace. We can expect to see the continued rise of Analytics, IoT, Machine Learning & the Cloud. Interestingly the report predicts more news job created than being lost! The key challenge for HR functions globally is understanding dynamic global labour markets and skill requirements, whether to build, buy or re-skill workforces. Governments should take note too and will need skill based immigration regulations to keep up with the pace of change.
